Judge Tim Olsen (retired) served 18 years on the bench before joining the Firm to practice mediation, arbitration and general civil matters. Tim is a Certified Mediator under the standards established by Oklahoma law.
Olsen began his judicial service in January 2007 when he was elected as Associate District Judge, Seminole County. He then served as District Judge of the 22nd Judicial District for six years.
During his time as a judge of the District Courts, Olsen tried hundreds of jury and non-jury trials. He handled civil cases across nearly all areas of the law, including complex oil and gas matters, business litigation, contract disputes, landowner disputes, insurance bad faith, construction litigation, inverse condemnation, personal injury and open meeting act violations. Not to mention, he presided over hundreds of divorce trials, contested probate matters, guardianships and trust cases.
Before taking the bench, Olsen was an associate with a Tulsa civil litigation firm, and thereafter, he served as First Assistant District Attorney in Seminole County. Over 14 years as a prosecutor, Olsen served as lead prosecuting attorney in countless jury trials and non-jury trials. He also advised county officers and represented the county, county officers and employees in civil cases.
