An oilfield accident generated a huge explosion that caused several fatalities. The plaintiffs’ counsel sued alleging several theories of wrongdoing against an array of defendants involved with the oil well. Working with our client to proactively investigate the events, Randall Long was able –shortly after the case was filed– to develop a compelling case for dismissal, showing that our client could not have been the proximate cause of the accident. Opposing counsel agreed to dismiss our client from the case, saving it from what was certain to be significant costs of litigation and much distraction to key employees.
