Natural Resources Law

Rhodes Hieronymus brings a blend of years of experience, a depth of knowledge of federal and state laws, and knowledge as to federal regulations for its natural resource practice. Our clients demand that we provide the highest quality of environmental representation to solve their environmental problems both locally and regionally.

The environment and policy towards energy production and development continues to change, and with it so has the law. We represent our clients on the legal and business issues posed by their project developments and the environmental impacts of their products.

Our experience in natural resource law includes the defense of a major oil company against allegations that its production operations caused destruction of a county-wide water table and the defense of a regional oil producer against claims that it improperly disposed of drilling fluids, damaging underground water supplies. We have also defended an exploration and production company in a federal lawsuit brought by an Indian Tribe claiming personal injury, surface and subsurface damages arising out of historical production activities. We have also defended an oil producer and owners against claims of improper calculation of royalties and violation of the Revenue Production Standards Act.
